Tinkerbell bookmark I made for my daughter, who's serious about her chapter books! :) Done on 14 count white Aida with DMC floss and blending filament.
Cross stitch Birth record I did for my niece. She's only a year and a half old now. :) I bought one pattern, found two more for free on the internet, tweaked them so they fit together, then put them all together in one pattern, and added some finishing touches. :) Yes, I painted the frame, too. Done on 16 count white Aida with DMC floss.
I made this bookmark for my Grandma Jane about five months before she died. She was an avid reader. That was nine years ago. After my Grandpa Sam died in November, and they cleaned out the house, they found it and gave it back to me. It's been so long, I don't remember all the details, but the bookmark was pre-made, 18-count Aida I believe, DMC Embroidery floss.
Good Fortune cross stitch I did for a friend for Christmas this year. The glass in the frame got broken during shipping. Done on 14 count khaki Aida with DMC embroidery thread and metallic thread.
